Communicate Without Infrastructure

Encrypted messaging that works without internet, cell towers, or servers. Built for environments where infrastructure is absent, unreliable, or cannot be trusted.

Signal-Class Encryption
No Internet Required
No Accounts
No Central Servers
Zero Data Collected

The Network Is the Devices

Vaelara Mesh turns phones into nodes in a self-organising encrypted network. No central server. No internet relay. The devices find each other and form the network themselves.

Signal-Class Encryption

Every message is encrypted on your device before it leaves. The cryptographic protocols used are the same class trusted by the world's most secure messaging apps. Forward secrecy means past messages remain protected even if keys are later compromised.

Mesh Routing

Messages hop across intermediate devices to reach their destination — even when no direct connection exists. If you can reach someone who can reach the recipient, the message gets there.

Delay-Tolerant Delivery

Messages are stored and forwarded when a path becomes available — minutes, hours, or days later. The network works with the realities of the operating environment, not against them.

Long-Range Capable

Phone-to-phone works over short distances with no extra hardware. Pair with optional inexpensive radio hardware for multi-kilometre range — useful for dispersed teams across challenging terrain.

Up and Running in Minutes

No account creation. No server to configure. No network to provision.

01

Install the App

Download Vaelara Mesh on Android. Your cryptographic identity is generated instantly on your device. No registration, no email, no phone number.

02

Add Contacts

Exchange contact information by scanning each other's QR codes or entering a short identifier. This establishes the encrypted channel between you.

03

Extend Range (Optional)

For longer-range communication across kilometres of terrain, pair any compatible radio device via Bluetooth. No additional setup required on the app side.

04

Communicate

Messages are encrypted on your device and transmitted across the mesh. The app relays messages for others and receives yours — even when running in the background.

Where Mesh Operates

Emergency Response

When catastrophic events take down cell infrastructure, first responders need communications that do not depend on it. Mesh keeps teams coordinated when everything else has failed.

Humanitarian Operations

Aid agencies in remote or conflict-affected areas need communications that do not expose beneficiary data and do not rely on local infrastructure that may be hostile or absent.

Remote & Off-Grid

Field researchers, offshore teams, and communities operating beyond network coverage. Communicate across terrain where no signal exists.

What Mesh Does Not Collect

There are no servers to collect from. Messages exist on participant devices only. Nowhere else.

Off-Grid Encrypted Communications

If you represent an organisation with a requirement for encrypted mesh networking — emergency services, humanitarian operations, or remote site teams — we would like to hear from you.
